With the objective of promoting the conservation of sea turtles that nest on the beaches of Utila, BICA, Utila chapter implements annual monitoring of the nesting sites since 1992.
We are pleased to announce that the 2022 turtle season is listed as the most successful nesting season, registering 74 turtle nests, the largest number of nests recorded in the entire history of BICAs monitoring program.
All this is due to the great effort and invaluable support of our STAFF and volunteers who work every day to protect our sea turtles.

Con el objetivo de promover la conservación de las especies de tortugas marinas que anidan en las playas de Utila, BICA en su capítulo de Utila realiza monitoreos anuales de los sitios de anidación desde el año 1992.
Nos complace anunciar que la temporada de tortugas 2022, figura como la temporada con mayor éxito de anidación, registrando 74 nidos de tortugas siendo esta la mayor cantidad de nidos registrados en toda la historia de BICA.
Todo esto se debe gracias al gran esfuerzo y apoyo invaluable de nuestro STAFF y voluntarios que día a día trabajan para proteger a nuestras tortugas marinas.
